11/23/2020 COVID-19 Update
Per Madison County and the Illinois Department of Public Health we are not allowing outdoor visiting booth visits or indoor visits at this time. We are allowed to have closed window visits. Visits will not be allowed after dark, or at meal times. Breakfast is from 7:30 - 8:30, Lunch is from 11:30 - 12:30, Dinner is from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. Currently, we are unable to participate incommunal dining. All meals are served in the resident rooms. Restaurant foods may be delivered for the residents, no foods may be brought from home. Families may not do resident laundry at this time.New residents must have a negative COVID test no more than 48 hours old and will be quarantined for 14 days after admission to ensure resident safety. We continue to test our staff and residents twice weekly. University Care Center continues to meet or exceed all CDC and Public Health guidelines for the health and safety of our residents and staff.
9/10/2020 COVID-19 Update
We are happy to we are COVID free at this time and have been for several weeks. We are accepting admissions, with a negative COVID test within 48 hours of admission. New residents or residents returning from a hospital, dialysis, or physician visit are quarantined for 14 days. All residents and staff are now being tested for the virus two times a week. We are committed to providing the safest care possible and work hard every day to ensure we are earning the trust you deserve.

Under the direction of the Centers for Disease Control and the Illinois Department of Public Health, visitors will not be permitted due to the COVID 19 virus outbreak. This will begin on 03/12/2020 and will continue until further notice. There will be exceptions for hospice residents who are very near the end of life.
